WhatsApp Image 2017-06-16 at 15.08.53Youth Entrepreneurship Symposium (YES) is an annual symposium of Nebo Singapore (the biggest youth community under Singapore Ministry Youth and Culture) that have mission to connect the aspiring young entrepreneurs together with entrepreneurs from different industries. In its 10th edition, the event is positioned four days interactive, comprehensive symposium, start-up competition, mentoring program, and encourage participants to identify and think about the possible global entrepreneurial opportunities.

In this program, Nebo Singapore as the organizer collaborate with Studec International for choosing 70 Best Delegates from Indonesia (who selected from 400 applicants from all over Indonesia). They were invited to participate YES 2017 to obtain business coaching and pitching/competing with 250 delegates from Singapore.

WhatsApp Image 2017-06-16 at 15.08.49 (1)YES 2017 theme is “Entrepreneurship as a Career” which brings together a total of 350 aspiring young entrepreneurs, 30 Keynote Speakers and 50 Start-Up Mentors around ASEAN. The event took place in NUS Business School, Singapore.

On the first day, they met the speakers which consist of Business CEO and founders . In the next day, the 350 youths were divided into 80 groups, they had to finalize their ideas through a business canvas model before it was contested. The third day, participants got the opportunity to be coached by 50 business mentors from various fields consisting of CEO, Founder, and business practitioner. And the last day, each group was given the chance to present the idea in front of judges and other finalist. From 80 groups selected 6 best groups to do the second presentation (final). In the final presentation there were 7 panel judges who are ready to criticize the best ideas that have been selected. Finally Indonesia were chosen as the winners: The 1st Winner (Non Cooperation Category) which won a cash $2000 and The 1st Winner (Cooperation Category) which won a cash $500. Indonesia also won 7 consolations category (best 10 Ideas).

IMG_4959Moreover, Studec International also provides additional categories of winners, specifically: The Most Innovative Idea, The Best Solution for Nation, The Most Impactfull Idea and Best Team.

YES 2017 will be held annually. This program is supported by other company/community such as Ministry Youth and Culture of Singapore, NEbo, NUS Business School and Mentors.
